What is Haul It Back ?
Haul It Back is the body to allow fishing gear producers to comply with SI No. 612 of 2022 (the European Union (Extended Producer Responsibility) (Fishing Gear Containing Plastic) Regulations 2022).
As an approved Producer Responsibility Organisation until 31st December 2025, we will:
- Provide a service for the registration of fishing gear producers to allow compliance with SI No. 612 of 2022.
- Collect data on the amount of fishing gear placed on the market to allow compliance with mandatory reporting obligations under the Single Use Plastics Directive.
- Develop a full application to become the permanent Extended Producer Responsibility scheme for fishing gear in Ireland.
